Clad Pulse

A special process aimed to obtain low dilution with the base material as primary objective
Clad deposit with homogenous chemical properties is produced.
In order to meet this target a very “soft arc” has been designed acting on more than 30 parameters governing the wave form.

Welding procedures

Filler material: UTP A 6222Mo d. 1.2 mm
Base material: ASTM A516 gr. 70
Process: MIG CladPulse – Böhler Arc Program: UTP A 6222Mo Ar 1.2mm
Shielding gas: 100% Ar

Procedure
Alloy 625 Cladding in One Single Layer

The cladding of alloy 625 is achieved in one single layer with deposition rate up to 4 kg/h
The clad deposit thickness is about 5.5 mm with chemical analysis conforms to alloy 625 also in depth. Fe content is well below 5%
Such a deposit configuration is ideal for cladding whether machining is necessary or not

Flat beads appearance without undercut and very limited spattering
