Purvi Products Ahmedabad is known for Problem
Solving Machines through Innovation. In 1983,
Mr. Dinesh Patel started a small-scale trading
business in Ahmedabad for high-tech challenging
engineering products, not available in open market.
In six years, he got enough experience and earned
good will in the engineering market for non-conventional
items. His son Pathik Patel, a BE (Mech) and MBA joined him in 2005. He is an ASME - Certified Pressure Vessel Design Engineer. He is a member of Gujarat Chamber Of Commerce & Industries and ASM International
Gujarat Chapter.
Being a mechanical engineer, Pathik added a new production line and started
making pressure vessels, heat exchangers, chemical machineries, autoclave
for capacitor manufacturing industries and vacuum furnace tanks.

In 1988-89, Purvi Products introduced
ESD machine for hard surfacing machine
parts and for depositing a thin layer of
tungsten carbide at room temperature.
“Again, after six years, we introduced
India’s first portable plating machine –
Richgold- for doing localize electroplating
without dipping the job in electroplating
tanks, technically known as brush plating.
We got the Industry Innovation Award
from ASM International Gujarat Chapter
for this product. We supplied this novel
product to reputed organizations like
Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Indian
Space Research Organisation, BHEL,
Reliance and many others,” Pathik shares.
Recently, they made a novel welding
machine – Porosil - for repairing
casting and welding defects and dents
in engineering jobs. POROSIL is used
for porosity sealing and for surface
restoration without Heat Affected Zone
(HAZ). POROSIL machine is useful for
salvaging precision rolls, dies, piston
rods etc. It Fills imperfections prior
to plating and grinding. During heavy
welding buildup, you find micro porosity.
This machine is used to seal the micro
porosity. After the fusion process, it
passes DP Test also.
“We are a team of mechanical,
electrical and chemical engineers and we
make problem-solving machines. One
pharma company had corrosion problems
in SS walls. We made localized rust
remover electrochemical machine with
ecofriendly chemicals,” Pathik shares.
Extra-ordinary Services
The company specializes in corrosion
protection and wear-resistance coatings.
In 1989, they started a job shop unit for
surface treatment in Ahmedabad. Today,
they have four products.
“I am proud to state that we are
pioneers for all the four products in
Ahmedabad. We started with services
of electroless nickel plating, a non
conventional plating process where
electrical current is not used for metal
deposition. We started Hard Anodizing
unit in 1999. We started Magni Zink
Flake coating business in 2012, first
unit in Gujarat. Under the banner of
ENP Techno Engineers we got technical collaboration from Magni Inc. USA. We are official licensee applicator of
Magni Inc. USA. In 2016 we started CED
Coating business, again a pioneer unit,”
says Pathik.
Looking Ahead
Hydrogen fuel for automotive use will be
the next generation demand. They are
planning for tank coating suitable for
the gas.
