Certified 6G pipe welders are required for a scheduled shutdown on carbon steel and stainless steel process piping.

Responsibilities:

  • Root, hot pass and fill/cap on 6G pipe joints to the applicable WPS.
  • Work to isometric drawings and joint fit-up tolerances.
  • Follow all permit-to-work and confined space procedures on site.

Requirements:

  • Valid 6G qualification in GTAW and SMAW.
  • Minimum 5 years of process piping experience.
  • Prior shutdown or turnaround experience preferred.
