INOX India collaborates with ITM (SLS) for Skill Development & Welding Excellence Center in Baroda

Developing the skill levels in youth to increase their employability is always an endeavour of INOX India Pvt. Ltd as a part of the CSR initiatives.

Recently, INOX India collaborated with ITM (SLS) Baroda University and provided technical and financial support in establishing a Skill Development and Welding Excellence Center (SDWEC) in the Campus of ITM (SLS) Baroda University. SDWEC is a state-of-the-art training center where INOX India has supplied advanced welding machines like Submerged Arc Welding Machines (SAW), Pulse and Standard Gas Metal Arc Welding Machines (GMAW/MIG/MAG), Pulse and Standard Gas Tungsten Arc Welding Machines (GTAW/TIG), Shielded Metal Arc Welding Machines (SMAW/MMAW) and Air Plasma Cutting machine.

Skill Development and Welding Excellence Center (SDWEC) is also equipped with an advanced Welding Simulator to train the students on diverse categories and positions of welding by simulation method.  The students enrolled in the Welding Course will be provided with a stipend of ₹3,000/- per month by INOX India. Welding is the most important process in fabrication of high end and precision engineering Equipment’s, SDWEC will train students to Excel in this area which will help the industries across the Country and specifically in Gujarat. INOX India’s SDWEC at ITM (SLS) Baroda University is an outstanding example of Industry-Academia Collaboration. As a part of National Skill Development Policy promoted under the leadership of Prime Minister of India, this revolutionary Skill Development and Welding Excellence Center will play a vital role in developing the skills of individuals of neighbouring vicinity and make them employable in the reputed industries for the overall growth of economy our Country. SDWEC will also play a significant role in the social development of the nearby Villages.
